Update: I have been studying magic square sigil creation a lot lately to improve the function of the sigil generator. The latest thing I have learned is that it’s not just a simple a=1, b=2 mapping which had originally left me wondering: How do I map an alphabet to a magic square larger than 26?

Instead of going 1-26, it seems that the mapping actually goes 1-9 (ones),10-20 (tens),100-800 (hundreds), as shown below. Then if you end up with a number larger than what appears in your magic square / kamea you simply reduce it by a decimal place as many times as needed: 800 > 80 > 8.

*Eaxmple: In a Saturn Kamea(1-9): A(1), J(10 > 1) and S(100 > 10 > 1) would all be “1”.*

*Example: In a Jupiter Kamea(1-16): A(1) would be “1”, but J(10) and S(100 > 10) would be “10”.*

Thinking that magic square sigil creation was done using 1-26 numerically had me stuck at Mars (5×5=25) but now I can do the larger planetary kameas using this new (new to me) method I learned about. This seemed counter-intuitive to me as all of the spaces on a magic square / kamea will not be used this way, but it’s the only way I have found so far that works consistently and that is how everyone else seems to be doing it.

I have changed my magic square sigil generator to use these new (new to me) numeric conversions so magic square sigil creation using my sigil generator will now work slightly differently than it has in the past. It’s better this way however, because now I can tackle the planetary kameas higher than Saturn, Jupiter, Mars. Using this method I will soon update to include magic squares for Sun, Venus, Mercury and Moon!
