*The King of the Court Cards represent the highest level of maturity and capability ,and do not need to follow the traditional gender role
This is a King whose tranquil nature is a calming influence to everyone he meets. As a natural healer, he can sense peoples insecurities and works to soothe them. Their compassion often moves them toward charity and volunteer work. They have learned to control their deep emotional natures and are not shook by low vibing people, or trying circumstances. Natural diplomats, one of their greatest gifts is to the heal rifts that others entangle themselves in, and people are drawn to this role they encompass so well.
They are deeply loving, very emotionally balanced, and tolerant toward others flaws and limitations. Romantic by nature, they see the beauty and potential in all living things.
They are the seers and dreamers who have highly developed intuitions and lying to them is near impossible.
This King, when in cross condition, either by reversal or proximity to negative cards, is a handful. Diagnosed or not, Personality Disorders are a common theme here. Emotional outbursts make them unpredictable and exhausting. Jealousy is a theme in their close relationships , romantic and otherwise. Ultimately these Kings cannot be counted on for much. More than likely- you’re the one who will end up having to hold them up due to their capacity of coming emotionally undone at the drop of a pin. Tread carefully.
This King aligns with the element of Water, and the signs and placements of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.
A note on the Court Cards
Court Cards do not need to align with their traditional gender rolls, and to read otherwise is extremely limiting in my opinion but this is largely intuitive so do what works for you. It’s better summed up with levels of maturity and capability being high to low in my opinion.
Court Cards are commonly interpreted as either being examples of one’s higher self and the current need to adopt those qualities, or other people in the life of the querent who possess the cards qualities. Think outside the box though as they could take on any number of pre assigned or spontaneous meanings such as deity, Saints/Lwa, specific co-workers, specific family members, archtypes, pets, ideas and concepts, specific situations etc.
