Whereas The Magus concerns the power of Will turned outward, The Priestess concerns the power of Will consciously turned inward. The Priestess is where The Fool first perceives the void and learns to listen to Spirit, letting its voice guide her to her highest spiritual potential via a finely attuned intuition. This is where The Magus learns the of language of the universe.
The Priestess is known represent one of the more difficult transitions in the Thoth deck as well, enough so to mention in these concise descriptions. She symbolizes the subconscious to a large degree and that requires some deep shadow work. Ones subconscious must be adequately opened in order to be consciously utilized.
