The Trinary Approach
Transparency
The code simply works with the text strings you enter and chops them into pieces you can drag around.
When you specify a range between two different numbers, we randomly choose a number between those two numbers.
For randomness, Trinary uses the Mersenne Twister ↗︎ pseudorandom number generator. It's seeded using the current time, a high-resolution timer (and where applicable, your statement of intent) combined.
Authenticity
This is my best aproximation of the offline technique.
Privacy
Your text and the result is always private!

Background & Practice
The cut-up technique is an aleatory literary technique in which a written text is cut up and rearranged to create a new text.
The concept can be traced to at least the Dadaists of the 1920s, but was popularized in the late 1950s and early 1960s by magician William S. Burroughs after Brion Gysin introduced him to the concept at the Beat Hotel. (link).
It's closely related to the fold-in technique.
