The Trinary Approach
Transparency
Nothing about the process Trinary uses to do numerology is a secret; it's happily explained, so you don't have to wonder what's actually happening behind the scenes.
Below your resulting number is a full breakdown of exactly which letter gave you which number. Most of these are old traditional values but some methods are new or experimental. You can see which is which here.
Authenticity
Numerology is programatic in nature and doesn't leave room for inauthenticity. If A = 1, then A = 1 whether you are offline adding things up on paper or you're here.
Privacy
Your numerology text is always private!
(We never save, store, or read them).
It happens in your browser and doesn't get sent anywhere.

Numerology
- עִבְרִית Gematria *
- Traditional Hebrew letter values; does not calculate finals. Gematria (Hebrew numerology) can be used to analyze any Hebrew words or formulas by their relationship to other words and their values, and traditionally was used for study of the Torah.
- This follows a standard system you will see repeated that goes 1, 2, 3 through 9, 10, 20, 30 through 90, 100, 200, 300 etc.
- עִבְרִית Gematria - Large Value (Mispar Gadol, 500–900) *
- Traditional Hebrew letter values, including finals as their own letters. Gematria (Hebrew numerology) can be used to analyze any Hebrew words or formulas by their relationship to other words and their values, and traditionally was used for study of the Torah.
- Ελληνικά Isopsephy
- Traditional system following the same numerical pattern as עִבְרִית Gematria, but with Greek letters.
- العربية Abjad
- Traditional system following the same numerical pattern as עִבְרִית Gematria, but with Arabic letters.
- English Qabalah (EQ)
- Traditional system following the same numerical pattern as עִבְרִית Gematria, but with English letters.
- Русский Qabalah (РQ)
- System I made following the same numerical pattern as עִבְרִית Gematria, but with Russian letters.
- Українська Qabalah (УQ)
- System I made following the same numerical pattern as עִבְרִית Gematria, but with Ukrainian letters.
- ᚠᚢᚦᚨᚱᚲ Qabalah (ᚠQ)
- System I made following the same numerical pattern as עִבְרִית Gematria, but with Elder Futhark letters.
- Pythagorean *
- Alphabet values assigned 1-9 repeating till all letters are used. Based on the Pythagorean reduction of larger numbers into the base numbers.
- Ordinal *
- Ordinal number values for the alphabet. (A=1, B=2, C=3...) Useful for simple codes and boy scout puzzles.
- Chaldean
- A 1-8 system popularized by Cheiro (born William John Warner, 1866-1936) and attributed, by him, to the Chaldeans, who were associated with Babylonians [citation needed]. It uses phonetic rather than positional conversion.
- 6-156 *
- Latin alphabet values increase by 6 with each letter. (A=6, B=12, C=18...) Useful for getting rid of your 6's.
- Sometimes called "English Sumerian" online (but not actually Sumerian).
- Octarine
- System I made with repeating 1-8 alphabetic associations. Created for my 8-pointed chaos star sigil method.
- NAEQ (ALW) *
- "Discovered" by occultist James Lees, this system was created from Aleister Crowley's Book of the Law and assigns letter values by a graphic analysis of its manuscript. Incredibly useful for anything Thelema related.
- Agrippa *
- From Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy, this system creates 3 sets of 9 letters and assigns them 1-9, 10-90 and 100-900. Somewhat similar to both Hebrew Gematria and Greek Isopsephy.

Background & Practice
There are many different traditions of numerology.
Before "letter = number", some ancient civilizations gave certain numbers special meaning or significance.
Later on around the 4th-3rd century BC, we got the "letter = number" type ciphers that can be decoded; such as Isopsephy and Gematria.
