What we DON'T store
Unlike some other sigil generators, Trinary Sigil Generator is VERY private!
- It does not send or store your statement of intent, sigil, numerology inputs, images, cut-ups, fold-ins, names of files you use, meme text, or divination results anywhere!
- Even the images you use, you aren't actually uploading it, it's your own browser reading the image from your own device.
- Custom images you use are not sent or stored anywhere!
These things don't even get sent to my server, processing happens in real-time in your browser. Even dark-mode setting is stored locally on your machine.

What we DO store
This will seem very obvious because we aren't doing anything sneaky:
- If you choose to use a contact form to send me a message, that message gets saved.
- If you choose to fill out a bug report, your current settings you are using get sent.
This refers to things that help me reproduce the bug, like:- Sigil color: red
- Line width: 10px
- Remove vowels: yes
-
If you create a profile on the site, the information you add is stored in a database.
- Username
- Your securely hashed password for logging in
- Some associated back end info like the date the account was created, tokens for resetting your password, etc. Normal login things.
- Your opt-in preferences for Terms of Use, Newsletter emails, Update emails, etc.
-
If you do not create an account
- We tell your browser to remember if you like dark-mode on this site, so we can do it without you needing an account to store that info to a database. That way you don't keep getting the high-beams.

What if this changes?
If this changes, I will be extremely obvious about it in the UX and let you know that you are about to save data to the server.
For example, in the future I may offer you the option to journal, or save your own sigils, or save your tarot spreads. You would have to consciously choose to save those for your own reference, and click the option to do so.
I'm not going to just start saving everything and not tell you.

Cookies and tracking
There are a few services I use that use cookies etc, and I want to be totally up front about that.
- Google Analytics: I use this to see how my site is doing in terms of traffic, most sites do. It tells me things like how many users I get per month, what pages they visit, etc. Extremely standard. We provide cookie and privacy controls as applicable under regional privacy laws.
- Google AdSense: For the time being, there are some ads on the site (I got bills yo!). They do normal ad stuff like give you relevant ads. We provide cookie and privacy controls as applicable under regional privacy laws.
- Basic site functionality: There are cookies involved in the basic functionality of the site, because you can create an account and log in. They maintain login sessions and security. Very standard.
- Amazon Affiliate links: Some of the links to books or products may be Amazon Affiliate links (I got bills yo!). It's a program anyone can sign up for that just lets you refer people. Basically I get a teeny tiny (pennies on the dollar) reward if you happen to follow my link to a book and buy it.

Normal website Infrastructure
Our hosting, security, and email providers also process information necessary to operate Trinary. This can include IP addresses, website requests, email addresses, and account-related messages. These services help keep the site running, protect it from abuse, and deliver emails such as account verification and password resets. All very standard. Keeps the site from getting DDOS, sends your password reset emails, etc.
